HIA Homeshow Melbourne - Updates

After returning from the homeexpo, there is only 1 word to describe it "Fantabulous". haha... I guess you know what I meant... It was packed with lots of people. And there were many exhibitors for this particular event... Since this is my first time, I was told that this was an annual event... I will definately return the following year...

There were many new & interesting ideas in the expo for renovating your house, tips to save your electrical bills, merchandise ease your cooking experience, innovative inventions that make cleaning fun.. & lots more... it doesn't just end here...

Here are some of the snippets from the expo...

 Venue - Melbourne Exhibition Centre

No not the Bridal exhibition, but the home show...

LED lightings seems to be getting popular these days... it has longer lifetime and save a lot of energy, and what that means to you is "saving heaps in electricity bills". But one of my biggest concern is that, will it be as bright as a normal halogen light or fluorescence lamp?

Even there is a cooking demonstration going on...

Lighting options, furniture & tapware options...

 Flooring designs and options..

and guess what, they even have mailboxes on display...

This amazed me a lot... water slide for the kids for sale...

Thinking of hiding your dustbins, there is company called 'hidden storage' & they have lots of them to choose from...

mattress & beddings... I even spotted some lying on the bed to test them before deciding to purchase...

 Canvas arts... Cool...

You guys should check this out.. the steam mop.. you basically don't need any detergents to clean up the mess.. just the steam mop will do.. and its amazing right... my only concern is... how about your electrical bill after you mop a 35 squares house... & the most interesting part is.. the mop is capable to clean the carpet as well!!!
 The brillian mop exhibitors...

 Garage storage solutions...

haha... when I reached here, I can't believe my eyes... portable ensuites.. check out the concept... brilliant ideas!

 sofas and furnitures...

check out the drum barrel stools...

methanol powered fireplace... cheaper option compared to the gas powered fireplace...
& portable too...

huge range of carpets from carpet call...

home security systems, video surveillance, and intercom systems...

home theather system... they even have a sample enclosed theather for you to experience it...

the magic broom, can even clean the carpet.. look at the difference at the carpet on the right...

and now seems like they have the ultra low maintenance decking... fantastic ideas.. which eliminates the maintenance... I like the looks of the normal wooden deckings, but maintaining it, is a nightmare... so with this solution.. I guess, I might be able to consider decking options in the future...

irobot... the robot vacuum machine... it will make sure your whole room is cleaned before it stops... & it covers every single angle of the room space... amazing!

lots of ceramic nameplates choices too...

and I didn't expect to see this.. a gaming arcade on display for sale... for those who interested to build up a small casino at home.. :)

Solar heating & solar electric panels...

There is also a huge place for you to rest & relax, while having your cup of coffee. Also for those who are tired of walking or while considering your options to purchase...

Overall, I guess, it was really a good experience and you will find tons of tons of stuff that you couldn't imagine of... those technologies that will realy impress you...Thus, I believe, if any of you guys did miss out a chance to get to the event this year, you will certainly not miss it for the 2nd time next year!

Featherbrook Overview Plan

Easter holidays are here... and its a long weekend + holidays... many are travelling during this easter, but I decided to lay back and rest... and probably do some updates on my blog...

I guess, since I started blogging about Featherbrook developments, I have made 1 big mistake, that is missing out the overall development plan of Featherbrook. Here I attach the overall development plan of Featherbrook Point Cook.

The area labelled as "Residential" is actually belongs to PointCook Thirty Thirty (3030) estate. If you are interested, there are more land sales launches in the near future..

Eventhough at the moment, the land in Featherbrook are almost sold out, they have informed that, there will be a new land releasing soon, to the left of Featherbrook, and will be named Parkbrook. Scaling the size of 3/4 of the existing Featherbrook, it seems that this upcoming development will have a better landscape compared to its predecessor. So until then, lets wait and see when will the launching be... & lets judge if its better...

At the moment, there are only 3 more stages to be completed in Featherbrook estate, which are Stage 19, 20 & 21. Expected completion date are as follows :

Stage 19 : May ( Titling in June/July 2011 )
Stage 20 : July ( Titling in August/Sept 2011 )
Stage 21 : Sept ( Titling in Oct/Nov 2011 ).

These are all the rough estimation given by Featherbrook, but its subject to weather condition as well. So hopefully these milestone will be met.

When I initially bought the land, I was told that it will be titled in April 2011, but now, it seems to have been delayed 4 months time...

Here is a bigger picture of Featherbrook in Point Cook Suburb.

Featherbrook in the Coloured area... Alamanda Estate is just beside Featherbrook ( on the right hand side of Featherbrook )

The future Parkbrook will be to the left of the current Featherbrook...
